There’s something truly magical about celebrating your love in a venue steeped in elegance, history, and opulence—and the newly revitalized Grande Belle Ballroom at the historic Bellevue Stratford Hotel delivers just that. Known as “Philadelphia’s most historic hotel,” the Bellevue has been a symbol of luxury since the early 1900s. Now, thanks to a stunning transformation by the Cescaphe Group, the Grande Belle Ballroom is once again the crown jewel of Center City weddings.
As one of the region’s top wedding floral design studios, Elegant Events Florist is proud to bring dream florals to life in this breathtaking space.
A Legacy Reimagined: The History Behind the Grande Belle
Originally constructed in 1904, the Bellevue Stratford Hotel quickly became known as the “Grand Dame of Broad Street.” It played host to presidents, dignitaries, and society’s elite for decades, and its ballroom was once the site of Philadelphia’s most iconic events and grand soirées. With its gilded ceilings, marble columns, and sweeping staircases, the hotel stood as a beacon of class and sophistication.
Over the years, the building’s use evolved, but the heart of the Bellevue—the Grande Belle Ballroom—remained an iconic reminder of the city’s gilded age. Its 2023 revitalization by the Cescaphe Group carefully preserved its historic architecture while upgrading every detail for modern luxury and unforgettable wedding celebrations.
